The staff of ACPI presently offers a variety of Texas Department of Public Safety - Texas Private Security Bureau Approved Continuing Education Courses. The courses are offered every quarter in San Antonio, Texas and are made available to groups of Ten [10] or more individuals in other communities around the State of Texas, upon request. The completion of 18 hours of the Institute's approved courses [14 hours of Management courses, 2 hours of Ethics and 2 hours of the Texas Private Security Bureau’s Administrative Rules, Chapter 35 and Chapter 1702 of the Texas Occupations Code] satisfies the Texas Department of Public Safety – Texas Private Security Bureau’s continuing education requirements for license renewal every two years. The new requirement to have at least a 2 hours review of the Texas Private Security Bureau’s Administrative Rules, Chapter 35 and Chapter 1702 of the Texas Occupations Code, becomes effective January 1, 2008, changing the total number of continuing education hours required in a two years period of time for Private Investigator license renewal from 16 hours to 18 hours.
